Man charged with kidnapping as search for Markham woman continues
Cops said they believe the suspect vehicle travelled to Kirkfield

A 26-year-old East Gwillimbury man has been charged by York Regional Police with kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated assault in connection with the case of a missing Markham woman.
Changlin Yang was charged on Saturday after Ying Zhang was last seen on Thursday at about 10:40 a.m. in the area of Woodbine Ave. and Steelcase Rd. She has yet to be found.
Investigators released images of Yang and the suspect vehicle and were searching for additional witnesses in the area at the time.

Police said a white Ford van with the Ontario licence plate BZ43851 was seen in the area and a suspect was seen with a large green-wheeled bin near the van at the time of Zhang’s disappearance.
Cops said they believe the suspect vehicle travelled to Kirkfield, in the Kawartha Lakes area, on Thursday afternoon.
