A man in his mid-20s was killed when gunfire erupted early Wednesday outside a bar on the Danforth — the city’s latest deadly shooting.

She said the man was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Some media reports suggest the victim had been inside the bar and stepped outside for a cigarette when he was gunned down.

Det.-Sgt. Rob North confirmed the man was shot in front of the bar, but said investigators are still reviewing security video to “determine the narrative” leading up to the murder.
“We’re looking for at least two — and probably three — suspects who fled in a vehicle,” he said.

North said it was too soon to say if more than one gun was involved in the shooting. No firearms were recovered.
A large section of the sidewalk in front of the bar was cordoned off Wednesday with crime scene tape and numerous evidence markers could be seen on the blood-stained pavement.
The identity of Toronto’s ninth murder victim of the year was not immediately released.
