Man killed in gas station shooting in Scarborough

A Pickering man is dead after a shooting at a gas station in Scarborough Saturday night.

Toronto Police said officers found Sulakshan Selvasingam, 28, on Saturday, around 10:20 p.m., after they were called to a shooting in the Warden Ave. and Ellesmere Rd. area.

Paramedics rushed Selvasingam to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The killer fired several shots into the victim’s car and then fled the scene. This was the city’s 45th homicide of the year.
