Scooter-riding sexual predator sought in Steeltown
Hamilton Police say a male on an electric scooter has sexually assaulted two victims on or near the rail trail

The hunt is on for a scooter-riding sexual predator in Steeltown.
Hamilton Police say two victims have been sexually assaulted on or near the rail trail between Limeridge Rd. E. and Mohawk Rd. E. in recent weeks.
The first assault occurred around 10:50 a.m. on April 27.
And the second attack unfolded around 7:30 p.m. on May 7.
“The incidents involved an unknown male suspect riding a black stand-up electrical scooter when he sexually assaulted the victims,” police said in a news release.
“We are appealing for witnesses and requesting anyone in the area to check their home surveillance cameras and vehicle dash cameras for any relevant footage,” police added.
The suspect is described as a male between 17 and 20 years old, 5-foot-8 to six feet tall, with a thin-to-medium build, and mid-length, lighter-coloured hair.
He was wearing a black hooded sweater pulled over his head with a black scarf or bandana covering his face, white Nike Air Force Ones or similar footwear, and black jogging pants.
The assailant was also operating a black, stand-up, electric scooter.
