Stabbing victim now Toronto's 4th homicide of 2025

A man stabbed late last week is now Toronto’s fourth homicide of the year.
Toronto Police were called to a residence in the Dovercourt Rd. and Geary Ave. area, west of Ossington Ave., around 2:40 a.m. on Friday
Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound and initiated life-saving measures. The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Monday, the man died in hospital.
He has been identified as Paulo Mota, 38, of Toronto.
Police have not released any suspect information.
