Student stabbed in 'attack' outside Scarborough high school

The badly injured victim was rushed to hospital

A student was seriously injured in a stabbing outside of a Scarborough high school on Thursday afternoon.

Toronto Police say they received reports of a student who was “attacked” outside David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, near Lawrence and Midland Aves., around 1:30 p.m.

Police say officers arrived at the scene and arrested two suspects.

The victim was transported to hospital via an emergency run.

This is the latest incident of violence at the troubled school in recent memory.

Last December, two people were taken into custody following reports of a person with a gun inside the school. Cops searched the school and found a replica firearm.

And in September 2022, a boy – 14 at the time – was charged with murder and attempted murder after what police describe as an execution-style shooting of Jahiem Robinson, 18, inside the school.
