Sudbury man charged with impaired driving in Highway 427 crash

A 31-year-old man from Sudbury is lucky to be alive but facing several charges after an alleged impaired-driving crash on Sunday in Toronto.

The OPP’s Highway Safety Division says the man was driving southbound on Highway 427 near Bloor St. around 7:30 p.m. when he crashed.

The man, whose name was not released, has been charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving and stunt driving.

He also faces a 90-day licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment.

Video posted to social media by the OPP of the dark grey car following the crash shows the front and driver side of the vehicle severely crumpled up and the front windshield and driver window also smashed in.

The word Daytona can been seen on the car near the back passenger side.
