Video of suspect released after 'several' people stabbed downtown

An unidentified male accused of stabbing several people downtown is being sought.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a stabbing call in the Christie St.-Bloor St. W. area on Tuesday at 12:54 a.m.

Police said an argument broke out between the accused and a group of people, at which time the accused allegedly approached the group and “began to stab several people within the group.”

The accused then fled the area.

Police said in an update on Wednesday that a 24-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries, while a 22-year-old man sustained non-life threatening injuries. They said the weapon used is believed to be a knife.

The suspect is described as having a slim build and dark, short hair. He was wearing black clothing, white shoes and carrying a black bag.
