Toronto mom charged in four-month-old son's death

The 30-year-old Toronto mother of a dead four-month-old baby boy has been charged with failure to provide the necessities of life.
Karessa Edwards was charged after Toronto Police allege they responded to a call from the victim’s father, who reported his child missing on Nov. 20 around 11:25 a.m., from a residence in the Roselawn Avenue and Marlee Avenue area.

It’s further alleged when officers arrived they found the infant and life-saving measures were performed before the baby was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police continue the suspicious death investigation and the Homicide and Missing Persons Unit are also monitoring the probe.
