A survey from FedEx revealed one in six Canadians typically return holiday gifts each year — but which cities are guiltier of bringing back their unwanted presents?

The folks at CSB.ca analyzed Google search data between Dec. 25, 2024 and Jan. 12, 2025 and found Toronto was No. 1 at hunting down information on gift returns, return policies and other related topics.

There were 67,740 searches tied to returns by people in Canada’s largest city.

In a very distant second, with a mere 24,360 searches was Calgary, followed by Vancouver where 18,890 needed more details on how to return that sweater that didn’t fit and was in a ghastly colour.
