While no suspect descriptions have been released, cops now say the suspect vehicle was found abandoned in Campbellville – about 40 km southwest of the murder scene – later that evening.

“The dark-coloured sedan was found set ablaze near Milburough Townline and Campbellville Rd.,” police said Wednesday.

It’s believed the killers then fled the area on foot.

“Investigators believe this vehicle is connected to the homicide,” police said.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area that evening, particularly motorists with dashcam video or residents with security camera footage, to review their recordings and report any suspicious activity.
