Toronto Police have shared video footage of the suspect vehicle in Saturday’s early morning shooting at Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School as they continue to try to locate suspects.
Police said both suspects were wearing dark clothing and fled in a dark-coloured vehicle after shots were fired at the school around 4:50 a.m.
Police attended the scene just before 9 a.m. They said a bullet hole was found in a window at the school, and that evidence of gunfire was also located.
There were no reports of gunshots heard in the area at the time and there have been no reports of injuries. Nobody was in the school at the time of the incident.
The Toronto Police Service Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force is investigating this incident with the support of the Hate Crime Unit.
Police said the community can expect to see an increased police presence in the area, as well as outside of schools and synagogues.
Anyone with information, or who might have been in the area at the time and might have video or dash-camera footage is asked to contact police at 416-808-2510, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at 222tips.com.
