Cong Peiwu told Ottawa Life Magazine that Canadians have been disrespectful to the Party and should be careful when talking about the People’s Republic, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.
“The fundamental principle in the relationship has been undermined by Canada,” Cong told Ottawa Life.
“Mutual respect means we respect systems here and the choices of Canadians here, but Canadians do not respect the Chinese system. This does not work well.”
“Because China is following COVID-19 rules, they are both in good health because of the rules and because China is following the rules,” Cong told Ottawa Life.
“The two Canadians were arrested on suspected crimes according to the law in China.”
Cong maintained that “some Canadian media out of the motive to seek attention distort the truth about China, which has misled the Canadian public. It is hoped that Canada will make correct decisions as soon as possible.”
