And when you allegedly fire 70-odd bullets outside a nightclub into a crowd of people, then you can be fairly judged as a homicidal maniac.

Now, Edmonton detectives say, Osman has been charged with an additional murder two years before he allegedly turned a Saturday night into a shooting gallery.

He is now in the wind with a Canada-wide warrant and a $50,000 reward hanging over his head. Investigators believe he could still be in Edmonton or maybe Saskatchewan.

There is also a good chance he is in the Toronto area — where he’s from — or the ugly reality that he may have left the country for a hiding spot in Somalia.

Osman first hit the headlines on March 12, 2022. Cops were called around 2:45 a.m. to Edmonton’s Ertale Lounge after reports that shots had been fired. That was an understatement, of course.

Despite the number of bullets fired, only one person was killed while six others were injured in the “horrific” mass shooting that occurred as revellers left the joint.

Video showed guns being fired into the crowd. Who the bullets hit did not matter a whit. According to cops, the murder victim was identified as Imbert George, 28, who was hammered with multiple doses of lead.

Using a helicopter, EPS eventually nabbed two men who had made a run for it. Said Ibrahim, 23, and Mohamod Mohamod, 22, were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and numerous firearms offences. Police alleged the duo tried to toss their weapons as cop cars chased them down.

None of the charges have been proven in court.

But the outstanding suspect, Osman? He was gone.

On Tuesday, cops said that Osman and another clown named Amiir Hussen, 27,  have now been charged with first-degree murder in the Dec. 8, 2020, murder of Mahad Bashir Farah, 25. Farah was pronounced dead on the street.

Hussen wasn’t so lucky and was arrested in Edmonton last February, where he remains in custody. In addition, Hussen has been charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of Leslie Victor John Whitebear in Regina in 2022.

Got it?

“We know no amount of time can ease the pain of losing a loved one,” said Edmonton police Staff-Sgt. Colin Leathem. “We hope that these charges offer some measure of accountability and resolution.”

Over the past decade, street gangs have been in an expansionist mode. Like McDonald’s before them, the insatiable quest for money requires more markets and aggressive, violent protection of what you already hold.

Podunk towns like Kirkland Lake, Fort McMurray, Sarnia and other burgs have been hit by blood-curdling violence once only seen in big cities.

And it is all driven by drugs, particularly the insanely profitable opioid, fentanyl.

The two Edmonton murders appear to be a gangland settling of accounts over said dope marts. You can do that in this country: Even if cops catch you, the enterprising thug is in for an easy ride.

Osman is also known by the alias Guled Osman and the nickname “Styles,” and cops say he’s armed and dangerous.

But he’s really nothing special, even in the criminal milieu. Osman is just another number in the long line of foolish young men hellbent on prison or the morgue.

Anyone with information about Osman’s whereabouts is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
