Meanwhile, the Grand River Conservation Authority has issued flood warnings for parts of southwestern Ontario, including Drayton, the County of Brant, Brantford and Six Nations.

A flood watch was also issued for the City of Cambridge as the water flow is increasing in the Grand River that passes through the city.

The conservation authority says a previously issued flood watch for the Grand River watershed remains in effect.

“The snowpack in the northern part of the watershed still contains a significant amount of water content,” it said in a statement.

“Warm temperatures combined with rain, which may be heavy at times, is resulting in snowmelt and increased runoff.”
