“I was playing my ticket at home when I discovered I’d won,” said Rumbolt to OLG.

“Immediately, I felt numb, and my mind went blank. I couldn’t believe it. I hadn’t been that excited about anything in years.”

The first person she shared the news with? Her best friend.

“With a look of shock, all she could say was, ‘Really? OMG, Doreen!’ I think she may have been happier than I was,” Rumbolt told OLG.

“This experience has felt absolutely fantastic. The winning tickets are out there. Never give up on the dream.”

Rumbolt plans to have some dental work done, share with her family, and save for her retirement with her windfall.

The winning ticket was bought at Petro-Canada on Goreway Dr. in Mississauga.

BARRIE MAN WINS

Barrie auto detailer and married father of one Bradley Collyer won the Poker Lotto All In jackpot worth $66,330.20 on March 6.

He also won $5,000 on the instant portion of his Poker Lotto play, bringing his total winnings to $71,330.20.

Collyer has been playing the lottery with OLG for decades and a quick stop for gas and a snack led him to his first big win.

“I was on my way home from work when I stopped at the gas station to fill up,” Collyer told OLG. “I went into the store to buy a snack and decided to pick up a Poker Lotto All In ticket too. As my ticket printed, the lottery terminal lit up, and I realized I’d won. The clerk asked me to stay so I could receive a call from OLG. In that moment, I was shocked, and everything was a blur.”

Collyer called his wife right away.

“She couldn’t believe it,” he told OLG. “I sent her a picture of the lottery terminal screen, and her disbelief turned into excitement and happiness.”

And his plans?

“I’m planning to purchase a new car and complete some renovations,” he told OLG.

“While it was hard to believe at first, winning provides a sense of freedom to do so much without having to worry about how to pay for it.”

The winning ticket was bought at Shell on Commerce Park Dr. in Innisfil.
