Giuffre, who took her life in April at the age of 41 at her home in Perth, Australia, campaigned for victims of sexual abuse and was one of the most prominent voices advocating for survivors.
She also alleged long-term abuse by her husband, Robert Giuffre, as the couple battled over custody of their three children.
However, a new report has uncovered a personal diary she kept in the last months of her life which revealed the depths of despair and powerlessness she endured while campaigning for victim’s rights.

Giuffre jotted down thoughts of the breakdown of her marriage as well as photos, texts, and legal filings which accused her husband of “emotionally and physically controlling” her and being violent and abusive.
As she came to prominence campaigning for Epstein and others such as Prince Andrew to be brought to justice, Giuffre accused her partner of trying to halt her from “advocating for the victims,” and also alleged he prevented her from physically seeing her children.
“Instead of praising his wife’s accomplishments he began to be jealous, trying to make me stop advocating for victims of trafficking,” she wrote.

Giuffre’s brother Sky Roberts said all she wanted was a life with her children before her death.
“What you have to know about Jenna is she was never afraid of any of these people,” Roberts said, referring to her nickname. “She was ready to move on with her life, but she wanted that life to be with her kids.”
An attorney for her husband said that “the passing of the wife of Robert Giuffre and mother of their children is tragic,” but was unable to comment about claims of abuse due to court proceedings in Western Australia.
Epstein took his life on Aug. 19, 2019 in a New York City jail cell while he awaited trial on federal charges for sex trafficking minors in Florida and New York.
