The Weymouth resident matched the five numbers — 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 — and told lottery officials the significance of the numerals.
“He won his prizes with a set of numbers he regularly plays that represent the only floors his old work building’s elevator used to stop on,” the lottery said in a statement, according to CBS affiliate WBZ in Boston.
The odds of matching all five numbers are 1 in 324,632.
Semedo said he plans to spend part of his winnings by attending a Boston Red Sox game on the road.
The store that sold the winning ticket, Jenny’s Market in Weymouth, will get a $3,000 bonus.
