The Sunday Times of London says the Blues and Royals No. 1 dress uniform Harry received from Buckingham Palace came without the late queen’s initials “ER,” while William’s had the royal cypher on both shoulder epaulets.
“He is heartbroken,” a friend told the Times. “To remove his grandmother’s initials feels very intentional.”
The same pal said he was so “devastated,” he almost wore a morning suit to avoid the “humiliation.”
Still, another source said an alternate outfit was never considered.
For Monday’s funeral, Harry — a decorated military veteran who served in Afghanistan — wore a morning suit, as he did when he walked behind the Queen’s coffin during a procession earlier this week.
Reportedly, Harry was also prohibited from saluting during the funeral because he was not in a military uniform.

SUBSTITUTE FOR THE KING: King Charles III is looking to the Houses of Parliament to amend the law about who will fill in for him in the event he is incapacitated.
“The move would see the Duke of York, the Duke of Sussex and Princess Beatrice (ninth to the throne) all relieved of their duties as official stand-ins for the sovereign, should he be indisposed,” reports the Daily Telegraph.
The 1937 Regency Act says the spouse of a monarch — plus the four adults in line for the throne — can act on official business as counsellors of state in such cases.
While the Queen was still alive, those roles were filled by Charles, and Princes William, Harry and Andrew.
Scandal forced Andrew to resign from royal duties in 2019 and Harry resigned from royal life in 2020.

The report says Charles will have the “law changed as soon as he can,” and will possibly choose Princess Anne and Prince Edward to fill in when required. — ROYAL DRESSER: Angela Kelly, the Queen’s personal dresser and close friend for nearly 30 years, showed up at the funeral after being noticeably absent during the 10 days of mourning, according to the dailymail.com.
The daughter of a Liverpool docker, Kelly started working in 1994 as an assistant dresser.
It was her job to keep track of which outfits and accessories were worn by the Queen, including her priceless jewels.
It’s not known, but it’s possible Kelly may have even chosen the outfit the monarch was buried in.
