The team returned to practice at OVO Athletic Centre in downtown Toronto on Thursday and while some familiar faces were at least doing some work, it wasn’t with the healthy players.
Scottie Barnes had a mask on to protect his fractured right orbital bone, Immanuel Quickley had a brace on his injured left elbow and Kelly Olynyk and Bruce Brown also did some work, but have not been cleared for contact yet, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic told reporters. Rajakovic said there won’t be another update on any of the players, including rookie Ja’Kobe Walter, until sometime next week, meaning they will miss at least Friday’s home game against Detroit, Saturday’s game at Boston and Monday’s visit by Pascal Siakam and Indiana.

Quickley tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow in Sunday’s loss in Los Angeles against the Lakers. The game was only Quickley’s second following an eight-game absence due to a hard fall suffered in the season opener against Cleveland.
Barnes has missed eight games, Walter has only appeared in four after missing all of training camp, while the veterans Olynyk and Brown have not yet suited up.
Toronto is an NBA-worst 2-10, winless on the road and has lost a league-high 53 games to injuries so far, according to Spotrac.
