It’s usually not a great idea for a team’s top draft pick to be making news before he ever steps on the field, but Josh Allen’s new top target might be an exception.
For football fans, the days following the NFL draft usually are spent watching highlight videos of your team’s new players, but Coleman’s football skills will have to wait because the 20-year-old Louisiana native is busy charming social media with his thoughts on day-to-day life.
The first clip that many NFL fans saw of Coleman after he was drafted last week by the Bills with the first pick of the second round was a quick run down of his preferences when he dines at Waffle House.

“Sausage, egg and cheese grit bowl,” he immediately starts prattling off. “Four eggs, scrambled with cheese. A side of pork chops. Hash brown with cheese and a Hi-C.”
When the interviewer challenges Coleman’s rather plain hash brown preference, suggesting additional ingredients such as onions, the receiver appears incredulous.
“ONIONS?” he asks. “Nah, I don’t even know what you’re talking about. Ain’t none of that. We puttin’ cheese on that, mixing it up, and eating it.”

The video posted on social media by @thebattlesend, Florida State University Football’s NIL collective, was just our first introduction to the truth according to Coleman.
Waffle House is clearly a favourite of the receiver who will be the first Bills player to wear jersey number zero when he makes his debut this season. Coleman told reporters that he had the cook’s number at his local Waffle House pinned in the messages of his mobile device.
When Coleman met with Bills media after being drafted, he was sporting a yellow winter jacket, which became the topic of his next bit after he asked reporters to guess where he got it.

“Macy’s. They be on sale on the rack. All the colours,” he said. “Look $79.89, nice little deal. You can get the trench coat for like $100.

As soon as the press conference came to an end, Coleman asked if the snack table to his left was up for grabs and after some browsing settled on a cookie.
