Tom Brady shook the sporting world by reversing his decision to retire from football recently — a decision that also impacted one unlucky fan’s wallet.Somebody paid $518,000 U.S. for Brady’s last touchdown ball of the season, believing, as Brady had said, that he was retired.Brady was clued in to the person’s misfortune and tweeted Friday that he wants to help out the buyer. The catch is the Bitcoin won’t actually go to the person, but rather to a charity. “Hey @FTX_Official … could we donate a Bitcoin to the charity of this person’s choice?! 😂,” Brady tweeted.
This isn’t the first time Brady has gifted cryptocurrency in exchange for a ball.
In October 2021, he gave a Bitcoin to the fan who got his 600th touchdown ball.
