The OPP are investigating a suspicious death at a provincial park near Alliston.
The Nottawasaga detachment said they began investigating just before midnight Friday, when officers were called to Earl Rowe Provincial Park east of the town after a person was found dead.
Police said they believe it to be an isolated incident “with no signs of a broader threat.
“Police continue to investigate and are actively monitoring the situation,” the OPP said in a statement. “Local residents can expect to see an increased police presence as officers continue the investigation.
“The OPP is reminding the public to always use caution and be aware of their surroundings and personal safety.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 or ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
